Cannon Park (City of Frankfort) Two acre neighborhood park on the south side of Main Street and across from First Street. The park has a cannon, historic marker, benches, grills, and water. Frankfort Land Company House (Private) Located on Leelanau Avenue and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Also known as the John Bochoven House and added to the National Register in 1995. Period of Significance: 1850-1874.
Frankfort North Breakwater Light (U.S. Coast Guard) Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Also known as Frankfort Breakwater Light or Frankfort Arrowhead Breakwaters. The breakwater is located offshore and extends 0.4 of a mileSW of Main Street and Michigan Avenue. Added to the National Register in 2005. Periods of Significance: 1900-1924, 1925-1949, 1950-1974. U.S. Coast Guard Station (U.S. Coast Guard) Located on the North Shore of Betsie Lake near the mouth of Frankfort Harbor on Coast Guard Road. Service Area: National. Accessibility Assessment - 3 a. Historic Frankfort Coast Guard Station Designation Eligible on the National Register of Historic Places. Due west and across the street from the New Coast Guard Station. The Crystal Lake Art Center has made plans to move into the historic structure and has initiated a capital campaign for renovations. b. Navigation Structures at Frankfort Harbor Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. Periods of Significance: 1850-1874, 1875-1899, 1900-1924, 1925-1949.
Garden Theater (Private) Located on Main Street, the 300-seat theater is being refurbished. In addition to movies, the renovation will include an upgraded stage for live theater and music. Other uses will include private parties, meeting space, school plays and band concerts.
Crystal Lake Art Center (CLAC Board) Promotes and develops the visual, performing, and literary arts in Benzie county by offering a wide variety of classes and exhibits. The Capital Campaign Fund and the Permanent Endowment Fund are managed by the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation.
