    • The park has 300 feet of frontage on the Platte River south of the Lake Michigan Drive boat launch and west of the National Park parking and rest rooms.

    • Point Betsie Light Station – National Register of Historic Places
    • Also known as Point aux Becs Scies.
    • Added to the National Register in 1984.
    • The Lighthouse is one of the most visited and photographed in Michigan.
    • Historically one of the most prominent and utilized lights on Lake Michigan for mariners.
    • The U.S. Coast Guard retired the facility due to advances in maritime technology and relinquished it to Benzie County.
    • Periods of Significance: 1850-1874, 1875-1899.
  9. MDNR Fish Weir (MDNR)
    • On the Platte River north of Loon Lake.
    • Closed except for fall time when salmon are taken for eggs.
    • Limited visitor parking.
